Q: How do you begin a project like Dungeons and Dragons?
A: The way we approach each project is an interesting process. We are almost more like an art studio than an effects house because much of what we do is based in classical art. We do a lot of 3D, but it's still based in paintwork. We create relatively simple geometry, which then undergoes an incredible amount of hand-painted modification. The goal is to make things look organic. We're constantly striving to have richer textures and to make a 3D environment as good as our 2D environments.
