Q: How do you determine how a mythical creature like a dragon will fly? A: We studied films of bats flying, footage of condors... essentially any type of winged creature with a long wingspan. We did whole iterations of flight paths, soaring, plummeting, diving and more. The moment we knew we had it right was when we looked at the dragon on the screen and knew inherently that this guy could fly. Our dragon is a bit of an unconventional design for a dragon. You'll notice that the wings aren't just extensions of arms. They're real flying appendages.
